A House Divided Cannot Stand.

Our future depends on leaders willing to reject extremism and work together.

I am running for Minnesota House District 41A to build bridges with everyone—Republicans, Democrats, and Independents—to deliver common-sense results for the St. Croix Valley, not partisan battles for St. Paul.

Focused on the Right Priorities.

  • Families are being crushed by sky-high costs of living, including essentials like housing and healthcare. Cole Birkeland is focused on building bridges at the Capitol to secure real, lasting relief for working people so that everyone can have a fair shot to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

  • Delivering clean drinking water and protecting the natural beauty of the St. Croix Valley region are among our community’s dearest values. Our candidate will build bridges between conservationists, local governments, and landowners to champion responsible stewardship.

  • Our high-achieving schools must be focused on good outcomes, not divisive agendas. We must build bridges between parents and educators to ensure our kids are equipped for citizenship and vocation in order to flourish in school and beyond.

Meet Cole

Born and raised in the St. Croix Valley, Cole Birkeland is an attorney, devoted husband, and active member of our community who understands the challenges we face.

For several years, Cole and his wife, Shelby, have called Lake Elmo home. As a board member of a local community service organization, Cole works hands-on to serve his neighbors and strengthen the community we all share.

Professionally, Cole has a unique understanding of how government is supposed to work for the people. As an attorney, he has served as legal counsel to various local governments, working on the frontlines to ensure government furthers the public interest within its lawful authority. Today, he represents working people, fighting to protect their rights and hard-earned retirement savings against wrongdoers—a commitment to fairness and fiscal responsibility he will bring to the Capitol.
